A duplicate occurs when a release that has already passed moderation and has been assigned a UPC (unique product code) is uploaded again.
Even if a release has been deleted from your account, it is still considered existing in the system if a UPC was previously assigned. Uploading it again will result in a duplicate error.

Please note: a release is a deliberate and finalized work, not a draft. Before submitting a release for moderation, make sure all metadata and files fully meet the required standards and guidelines.
A UPC is a unique product code assigned to a release only once.
If a release (even a deleted one) already has a UPC, it is not possible to obtain a new UPC for the same release. Re-uploading such a release is considered creating a duplicate.
Duplicate releases are strictly prohibited.
